Anthony Pluta Coaching our Coaches!

PBSA is pleased to have Anthony Pluta join our organization as our Head Coach. Anthony will be available to our many coaches for assistance from how to teach our young athletes how to hold a ball to the correct way to turn a double play.

More information will be forthcoming for Anthony's training sessions in the weeks to come.

Anthony comes to us with a great deal of expertise. We are very fortunate to have this opportunity to benefit from his experience and knowledge. Please see below for Anthony's many achievements in our great sport:


Achievements as a Baseball Player:

- Had 33 NCAA Div1 full ride scholarships out of high school.

- 3rd round draft pick by the Houston Astros.

- Was a top 10 prospect in the Houston Astros organization.

- Played 13 years of professional baseball.

- Played one year professionally in Japan.

- Was under minor league contracts with the Houston Astros, Tampa Bay Rays, Pittsburgh Pirates, Texas Rangers, Minnesota Twins and Anaheim Angels.

- Has a professional batting average of over .300.

- One of the hardest throwers in professional baseball for 2 years in the minors.

- Has thrown a baseball 100mph.

- Has a Topps and Upper Deck baseball card.

Achievements of Victoria Premier Eagles with Anthony Pluta as their Manager:

- Won over 100 games in 4 years.

- Broke over 30 team and PBL records.

- 2 players drafted and multiple players received college scholarships.

- Won organization of the year.

- Won a PBL championship.

Academic Achievements:

- A Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in Kinesiology. 

- Anthony was the first person in the world to predict the performance of baseball players using a portable EEG.

- The highest level of baseball certification offered by Baseball Canada and NCCP.

- The only fully trained Master Coach Developer in BC and one of only 13 total Master Coach Developers in Canada.

Achievements as a Coach and Mentor:

- Coached professionally for 2 different teams.

- Coached camps alongside Hall of Fame players Tony Gwynn and Greg Maddux.

- Built a baseball organization in Las Vegas for underprivileged youth that started as 1 team and grew to 13 teams sponsored by New Balance.

- Has worked with pitchers and baseball players from 4-60 years old.
